About Me

ABOUT ME

I started out in nineties hardcore, with all the constructive/limiting values and ethics that come with it. I kept getting involved into the organisational side of things, for an experimental music festival (Sonic Protest) in particular but also for any kind of progressive feminist and/or queer initiatives from friends in Paris and Marseille. And at long last I am slowly making my way into creating music again.
I think I have a good heart and a fairly good grasp on the world, as I am interested in lots of things from the macro level (history, geopolitics) to individual stories But I try and remember to balance my deeply ingrained skepticism with a curiosity for what I have been unaware/ignorant of, and to keep things light, because the world's a mess, but I am glad I am part of it.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Like many, I did CS for years before CS came into existence, with friends and friends of friends'.
Now hosting preferably pennyless people (and one underage migrant) in Paris.

Interests

Music of course, and more culture stuff (I just tend to shy away from institution-sanctioned works, and favor DIY).
Trekking.

Music, Movies, and Books

Experimental and heavy music of all kinds, less ans less guitar-based with each year passing.
All the 19th century classics writers, Virginia Wolfe, Don Delillo, Latin American writers, crime novels and comics
A steady stream of mass culture uncritically absorbed and regurgitated in strange shapes.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I once slept a whole year in my friend's closet for lack of money, so I am an adept floor sleeper, and your couch will always be an improvement on that, no matter how disreputable it actually is.

Teach, Learn, Share

I can teach the basic elements of sloppy guitar-playing, learn to cut unnecessary negativism, and share whatever good or bad comes forth (I'm quite adaptable).

What I Can Share with Hosts

A nice talk about their surroundings, cool concerts and recipes
