Hi there!
I'm a 26 year old, sun seeking, mountain loving, yoga practicing adventurer who is in love with traveling the world.

After doing a six month backpacking trip around South-East Asia when I was 18, I was hooked. The crazy adventures, the amazing people I got to meet and call my friends, the beautiful places I got to see…
From there on out, I have seized every opportunity to go abroad - from hiking in Nepal, to writing my Master thesis in South Africa, and now working from my laptop while traveling the world indefinitely.

My mission is to be able to add even more amazing experiences to my list, and I think couchsurfing is a great way to do that.

For me, travelling isn't necessarily about partying all night. The thing I'm here for is to explore nature, go on hikes, meet great people, have great chats, get to know the unfamiliar, and do some crazy stuff from time to time :)

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Couchsurfers and hosts are in general interesting people with a view on life which I like - open, sharing, and fun.
I would love to experience countries from a more local perspective, and what better way to do that than through meeting some epic locals?!

Music, Movies, and Books

My playlist currently consists of Noah Kahan, Jungle, Arctic Monkeys, Eddie Vedder, Alt-J, Angus and Julia Stone, Milky Chance, Oh Wonder, The Rolling Stones, and more. I have a pretty broad music genre interest.

Also, I read a lot - it’s one of my favourite things to do. I'm a big fan of Haruki Murakami, and I love love love all books from Benjamin Alire Saenz. My current guilty pleasure read is Sarah J. Maas. Of course, The Alchemist will always have a special place in my heart.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Buying a motorbike in Vietnam when I was 18, and driving it from South to North. Note: I had never ridden a motorbike ever before in my life. Not a car, either. Just a bicycle (yes, I’m clearly Dutch). It was crazy. Especially when you start out in a city like Ho Chi Minh and don't even know what gears are.

Teach, Learn, Share

My upcoming travels will be in Pakistan. I’m not gonna lie: I am a bit nervous, as it’s not a ‘common’ country to travel to as a solo female traveler. However, I would love to gain great experiences that I can then share with others, in order to change the way people think about this seemingly amazing country, full of beautiful nature and beautiful people. In return, I’d love to share my travel experiences and spread the wisdom and positivity that fellow travelers have given me as well.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I can help cook or teach you some yoga basics. Also, I am pretty good with making and keeping things tidy.
