ABOUT ME

Hi there, I have lived in Amsterdam since I was 19 and started studying here (child psychology & economics). The city makes me smile, so I hope to be staying there a little longer. I love to spend time with friends, don't really care what we do. Besides that I love doing sports and cooking.

PHILOSOPHY

I think being happy is important, so think happy thoughts ;). But: enjoying to have a miserable day can be awesome too.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I like meeting people from other countries and sharing stories. So if you feel like going for a drink, feel free to send me a message! I host only every now and then because I share an apartment with a friend and we don't have a spare room.

No experience with surfing myself yet, but hosting people was a very good experience!

Music, Movies, and Books

I really like going to the movies. We have a collaboration between arthouse movie theaters in Amsterdam, which is called Cineville. I'm a member of Cineville so I can go unlimited. I can recommend to go to The Movies www.themovies.nl ; it's the oldest cinema in Amsterdam. Apart from horror movies and science fiction, I quite like everything. Some movies: Shawshank's Redemption, Les Intouchables, Shrek, Snowcake, The Devil Wears Prada, The Imitation Game, Boyhood..

Books I read but I don't really have favorite ones. I read Marching Powder a while ago. Very interesting.

I'm in to different types for music. I really like jazz (it's so relaxing), swing and rock 'n roll.

Climbed the Rinjani in Lombok; surfing in Portugal!

Teach, Learn, Share

I'd like to learn how to speak Spanish some day and how to play the guitar.
I can always share a cup of tea with anyone, anywhere!
What I can teach... I can teach taekwondo basics. The problem is you need a proper place to do that.
