Hi everyone! I'm a medical doctor from Argentina but I've lived overseas for the last few years, in Australia.
I've worked mostly in Emergencies, but my true passion is Integrative Medicine. I've done postgraduate courses in Acupuncture, Herbal medicine and other holistic therapies. I've studied quite a bit about biomedical research and conflicts of interest in science. Bioethics and Informed Consent are very important parts of my practice. I don't engage in any form of discrimination and I respect everyone's personal decisions about health and lifestyle. Your body, your choice.
I love art, I'm learning to play the guitar and piano, I write essays and spend most of the day reading papers and researching. I'm vegan, queer and I'm travelling with Elly, my Australian partner (Who I met through Couchsurfing!)
I believe that only through compassion, respect, and taking care for each other -humans, non-human animals, plants and ecosystems- we will be able to survive in this amazing planet and achieve happiness. Meditation is a big part of my life.

Hola a todes! Soy Florencia, médica argentina pero vivi en Australia los ultimos años. Trabajé principalmente en Emergencias pero mi verdaderao amor es la Medicina Integrativa. Hice cursos de posgrado en Acupuntura, Fitoterapias y otras formas de medicina holistica.
Soy queer, vegana siempre que sea posible-, estoy aprendiendo a tocar la guitarra y el piano, amo investigar y escribo ensayos, y creo que la compasión y el respeto por los demás -sean humanos, animales no-humanos, vegetales, o ecosistemas- es el verdadero camino a la supervivencia en este hermoso planeta y a la felicidad. Creo que la meditación y el buen uso de rituales ancestrales son parte de este camino.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I've met amazing people every single time, no exceptions. I think it's a wonderful system that can actually change our very understanding of society and human relationships.
I've been through every possible situation, from hosting beautiful people from very distant countries at home, to getting stranded really far from home, with little to no money at all as I was a young student trusting the Universe's kindness, and being rescued by couchsurfing angels, whom now I can call friends :)

Conocí gente excelente, sin excepción.
Cada vez tengo más amigos dispersos por el planeta y ellos siempre tendrán una amiga aquí :)
Hospedé gente hermosa, muy interesante, estando en mi casa, pero también viví muchas experiencias como viajera, por no mencionar que me salvaron muchas veces al encontrarme muy lejos de casa!
