Overview
About Me
Heya, I'm a musician/poet/writer who's trying to make a living selling board games...don't know how that happened.
I love comedy, music, photography, art (although I can't draw for anything) and indie cinema or documentaries. I write my own folk/punk songs and spoken word poetry. Am very into politics and world issues, so if you like discussions about human/animal rights, the environment or any other contentious issue then you've found the right host! Just to let you know I lie on the far left of the spectrum with politics, so if you love the Conservatives/right wing side of things you may feel uncomfortable being surrounded by punk records and revolutionary posters :P
I'm gender queer so may be going by a different name depending on when you visit but hey, at least you can guarantee it's gonna be a safe space for you LGBTABBQ+ folks xx
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I'd like to meet new people, learn new things, perhaps even try to learn a second language which I have so far failed to do!
I'm a friendly person who wants to share their experiences and knowledge with others as well as find out what makes others tick. Their interests, passions etc. Also, meeting people who live completely differently to me, as well as those who have shared interests.
Interests
I enjoy playing guitar, writing poetry, going for walks in interesting places, comedy, (lots of different) music, photography, indie films and documentaries, crime drama, drinking tea :)

Music, Movies, and Books
Not hugely into film so I'll start with music. I like anything from folk to punk to ska, reggae, blues, motown, 50s rock'n'roll and plenty that came before, after or in between.
My favourite authors are George Orwell, Donna Tartt, Sylvia Plath and Murakami. I'm a very slow reader but started Infinite Jest recently, because I feel it's something I should have read! It may indeed turn out to be infinite. It is a brick.
I love comedy and own A LOT of box sets. Favourites include: Father Ted, Black Books, The IT Crowd, Flight of the Conchords, Peep Show, Blackadder, Red Dwarf, The Mighty Boosh, Big Train, Spaced.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I went paragliding once, which was amazingly good fun! I need to learn at some point when I have the money.
Teach, Learn, Share
I could teach basic guitar, that's about it... maybe cooking? I could share my music and poetry, as well as an extensive comedy and crime drama box set collection :) I'd like to learn another language or more about the things I'm already into, like photography for instance. I've only just got a DSLR and it's confusing me haha!
What I Can Share with Hosts
I can share my guitar skills, poetry and limited photography skills (as previously mentioned).
Countries I’ve Visited
England, Finland, Ireland, Italy, Norway, Portugal, Scotland, Spain
