About Me

Hi! I'm a Quebec student currently doing an internship in Brussels for the summer! I would love to seize this opportunity to visit as much of Europe as I can during the week-ends and meet a lot of new people and have interesting stories to tell when I go back! :)
I'm a very laid-back and unstressed person. I usually go with the flow and see where that takes me because I found that that is how I've met the most wonderful people and had the most incredible adventures.
I'm a feminist, LGBTQ+ rights supporter, mental health awareness supporter, anti-fascit and anti-Trump, so pretty much your usual liberal millenial type. I will gladly discuss and debate with you if you share different views as long as it's done in a respectful manner. I have very little tolerance for rudeness.
I'm very responsible and respectful, especially if you welcome me in your house so generously. I will clean up after myself and make as little noise as possible if i wake up/go to bed a different times than you.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

It's a cheap way to travel and also you get to meet interesting people and experience the city they live in a different perspective than the usual tourist way!
I will often be travelling alone, so of course I will gladly take you up on any offer to go out and learn about your town, meet your friends and just spend time with my host. I'm also keen on exploring by myself though, so don't worry if you don't have much time to spend with me!
Mostly I think CS is about meeting new people and getting out of your comfort zone by exchanging with others, and that's what I wish to take out most of my travel.

Music, Movies, and Books

I love so many kinds of music. These days I'm listening to Frank Ocean, Beyoncé's Lemonade, Kaytranada, Arctic Monkeys, Rodriguez. But there's so many artists I feel I haven't discovered, let me listen to what you like!
I'm more of a TV show kinda person than movie! Right now I'm listening to Master of None, Fargo, Game of Thrones, Doctor Who....
My forever favorite book of all time is L'insoutenable légereté de l'être by Milan Kundera. Right now I'm reading The Bell Jar by Sylvia Plath and it's very depressing but incredibly beautiful too.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Partying in Bruges! Who knew Bruges had an amazing nightlife right?
Leaving my parent's house at 17 and living by myself ever since.

Teach, Learn, Share

I want to learn about European politics! I feel so lost here and uncultured when people talk about it!
Also any number of new languages you can teach me!

What I Can Share with Hosts

I think I'm a pretty decent cook, and sharing meals is always a great way to get to know someone and their culture. I'll also teach you Quebec swear words, that's always fun!
I think I'm pretty funny too? It doesnt work with everybody but I like laughing at my own jokes that's for sure!
