About Me

I'm an openminded, curious, funny person, trying to incorporate as much sustainability in my life as possible. I grew up in a small village riding horses, but want to live in a big city counting traffic lights. I spend lots of time with my family, love watching movies in the cinema (with nachos and a lot of cheesy sauce), eat too many apples, dance whenever I'm happy or taste something delicious and want to be part of an alternative way of living and interacting. I'm still trying to figure out how to take good care of plants, but the looks of it always makes the effort worth it. I would love to explore as many parts of the world as possible, but if I had to choose a place to live at, it would be next to the ocean under a yummy fruit tree. I could spend weeks running around table tennis tables, watching people skate, playing cards, braiding my friend's hair or having the most comfy, extensive sleep overs. I'm the worst singer ever, but I don't mind this lack of skills, I listen to others instead, in fact music is playing around me most of the time (and not that many podcasts... I still didn't get the hang of it, I'm sorry).

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I've been living with two friends who shared with me their stories about travelling different parts of Africa with this platform. They made so many awesome experiences, gained good friends, explored the places like a local and participated in a ton of amazing adventures. It sounded amazing and I guess, that's exactly what I'm looking for. We've already hosted a few guests in our apartment and it was always worth it.
Now I want to get over my shyness and start travelling in a more personal and indivual way.

Music, Movies, and Books

I was obsessed with the Step Up movies and really into Hip Hop and this somehow started my love for Afrobeats, just because I love to feel the rythm and let loose.
I'm really into dance movies, romantic comedies and crime series, but I hate horror.
Most of the time I read fantasy books or novels based on a true story, eventhough I haven't finished a book in sadly quite a long time. My favorite author is Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie and I'm super hyped to read her new book soon.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Swimming in glittering water (bioluminescence).

Teach, Learn, Share

I know how to cook a few pretty decent dishes nobody has ever complained about and love to try new recipes or food which I haven't heard of or don't know all the ingredients for :)
One of the first things I do after meeting new people is teaching everyone my favorite card game "Cambio" and check out how spicy you can eat.

Countries I’ve Visited

Belgium, Czech Republic, England, France, Ghana, Greece, Guatemala, Ireland, Israel, Italy, Kenya, Netherlands, South Africa, Spain
