ABOUT ME

Very laid back. Between work and walking my dog, I try to do lots of art work, and work on learning new skills, or reading. I bike or skateboard most places. Wherever I'm living and try to always take new routes. When its warm in Winnipeg I'm outdoors as much as possible and try to take part in all the festivals and events. At the moment I've just started my first garden and the first two tulips bloomed today. I'm over the moon!. I am very fortunate to say that a large part of my childhood was spent backpacking around South East Asia and Central America. My mother took myself and 3 younger sibling traveling on her own. Needless to say we learnt a lot during that time, and some of it, especially the love of exploration and adventure and curiosity has defiantly stuck with me throughout the years.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Its a very usefull site to be involved in when looking to meet to people in strange cities, and if you need a safe place to stay on a budget. We also have a spare room available sometimes so it makes for a little excitement when doing the day to day thing, to have some cool visitors. I have always really enjoyed meeting new people and hearing there stories. Its so inspiring to hear what people have done, love to do and plan to do.

Interests

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Angkor wat. No body should go through without seeing this. Mayan temples in Guatemala as well.
Lived in the Himalayas
Flew to Thailand alone at 13 to meet my family
Went to grade 10 on Ko Pha- gnan. I spoke no Thai
Slept in a shephards cave for my 14th birthday on a mountain in India
Lived in a beach bar in Cambodia
Fire dance indoors and outdoors and all over
Made a birthday cake on a gas burner

What I Can Share with Hosts

I can teach you how to make an origami crane or box. I can show you some fire dancing moves. I've got a lot of funny jokes. My cookng skills are decent But when it comes to breakfast {especially eggs) my skills are matched by no other. I'm also pretty crafty, we could make some jewelry! I love to collaborate on art. I would help with just about anything if I was able. A place to stay in Winnipeg, Canada
