Hi! I'm Florencia, 22 year old student from Uruguay, currently as an Exchange student in Sabanci University, Istanbul. I've lived in Uruguay my whole life and there I studied International Business. When it came to the time that I had to decide to go on an exchange I choose Turkey because it's totally different for what I have known my entire life: language, culture, places, religion and much more. So I said "why not?, it's the perfect opportunity to open your mind and meet new people" So here I am :)

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

In Uruguay I met these amazing two guys from Italy that became my friends and they are graduating now!!! :) I'm so happy for them. So, they will have a party to celebrate that and since I'm in Turkey and it's not so far away, I decided to go and visit them so I can celebrate their graduation and also be with them at least some days (I miss them so so soooo much).

Also, I have this friend that has been doing couchsurfing for a long time and had visited quite a lot of places and she introduced me in this. I though it was really interesting, specially because I love meeting new people, travelling and last but not least, have more authentic experiences. So it's the perfecfect mix! I mean, "the world is a book and those who don't travel only read one page", right?

Interests

I’m an International Business student so I’m really interested in world affairs of any kind and love to talk to different people from different places, since it allows to have various perspectives and understand this world a bit better and get the bigger (and better) picture.

But... I also have some hobbies haha for example reading and singing!! (Don’t be too excited, I’m really BAD at it haha, but it doesn’t prevent me for having fun!

Music, Movies, and Books

Jojo Moyes' series ME BEFORE YOU, ME AFTER YOU & STILL ME

Yeah, they are kind of romantic novels and they may make you cry (the movie is AMAZING, I strongly recommend it for drama and romantic movie lovers), but I still think it's a great sroty that will touch your heart and make you think about many things that may happen in a person's life so.... don't judge it just for the cover! :)

Also I love the TV series The Vampire Diaries!! It’s my favorite one by far. I know...I know... it’s not usually considered among the “10 best series” or “Series you cannot miss from watching” but for me is the best one. I started watching it when it was on season 1 or 2, and didn’t stop until it finished in season 8 :’(. Although it might not be among the favorites, I would highly recommend it! The plot is amazing and it changes drastically that you will be taken aback, scenery is breathtaking and actors are great!!

What I Can Share with Hosts

I am a very open person and I like to try new experiences, meeting new people and learning a bit of each place I visit so I can have a good memory of it. I would be willing to enjoy with my host of mutual hobbies or local activities, so we can both have an excellent time and learn from each other!
