ABOUT ME

I love traveling and meeting new people! I traveled for a year abroad and lived in Africa for two. I work in social justice and also write social commentary that I hope will help people see the world differently.

HOST-GUEST COMPATIBILITY: I go to bed around 10 or 11 and wake up around 7. I do meditation every day in the morning and evening and I also practice yoga most days. While traveling I can be much more relaxed about this, but for guests at my home, my place is the calm amidst the storm of NOLA, a place to rejuvenate, maybe even drink some tea and have a meaningful conversation. If that's what you want, then we might be a good hostess-guest match. Besides-- the city has so much more to it then its "wild" reputation would have you believe!

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I live in a beautiful shot gun apartment in Mid-City and I'm looking to have a little more life and liveliness in my home. It's a beautiful place and a perfect/convenient location. WARNING: I am like a reptile and love the heat, so my air-conditioning is set at like 82 during the "very" hot months and not at all during the "pretty" hot months.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I host single travelers (usually female) about once a month in this lovely city of mine and have also used it a couple times when I'm visiting other cities in the U.S.

Two of my favorite places in the world are Guatemala and Thailand. I felt like I was operating on the same frequencies of those countries.
