About Me

I'm a very spontaneous and sociable person. Mostly I'm relaxed but have to admit that sometimes I'm a bit of a scatterbrain. I studied Social Work in Ghent, Belgium where I live in a cohousing. I traveled and hitchhiked around Europe and Central-America for many years. I’m working as a teacher in a school and have a tour company called GandaTours where we give local tours as: lovetours, nightshopcityadventure & activismtours.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I want to travel and experience other cultures, meet new people and find breathtaking nature. Local life is best way to show my genuine self.

Music, Movies, and Books

MUSIC: It's hard to imagine one day without music for me. My parents are professional musicians. My taste goes from punk to classical, disco to reggae, jazz indie, funk, hiphop, salsa, flamenco, even happy hardcore. In my house I organise a monthly jamsession: my roommates are playing music and I'm organising the open mic poetry part. I make music myself; hiphop & italodisco: King Marti & p’tit flow.

MOVIES: I love old and new movies. I've already seen too many films, but I like European films. Some of my favourites: "One Flew over the Cuckoo's Nest" and "Pierrot Le Fou" and “Jamon Jamon”.

BOOKS:
Albert Camus - The Stranger
Rainer Maria Rilke - Duino Elegies
I read a lot but never manage to end the book before starting another one..

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Learning other languages, falling in love, squatting an abandoned monastery, making music, eating italian food, feeding a sloth, dancing!, making new friends, meeting couchsurfing people after 8 years!! Bringing flowers to someone’s doorstep, buying a drone and losing it at italian cliffs all in one day RIP

Teach, Learn, Share

"Every day there's something to celebrate, no matter how small it is"
"Life is a hard-boiled egg"
