About Me

/// CURRENTLY NOT AVAILABLE AS HOST: I'm moving and I can't host you for now. Sorry!

Hey! I'm Flo and I live in Paris.

I'm a Graphic Designer in the video game industry, and I also teach some stuff (art direction, game creation) on the side in a Parisian college.

I love to travel, meet new people and cultures. I love to draw, I love art, I love museums, I watch a lot of movies and series.

I cook good crêpes!

It's better to use your money on wine and beer than on an overpriced hotel room! :D

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I know how hard it is to find a place to stay for a night or two. Capital cities can be extremely expensive, be it a cheap hotel or an airbnb, it's still pretty expensive.

I also like to travel and I wanna be able to couchsurf if given the chance. It makes sense!

I also think it's fun to share cultures with someone for a brief moment, it makes travelling more unique, special, and fun. Maybe I can give you interesting Parisian addresses!

Music, Movies, and Books

I love movies from Scorsese, Wes Anderson, Tarantino, Guy Ritchie, McDonagh, Nolan, Miyazaki, Winding Refn, Kubrick, les frères Cohen, park-chan wook, Takahata, Takeshi Kitano, Terry Gilliam, Damien Chazelle, Denis Villeneuve, Julia Ducournau, ...

I still have to watch everything from Jim Jarmusch (loved Only Lovers Left Alive) and Park-Chan Wook.
Once upon a time in America and the Goodfellas might be 2 of my fav movies.

I love watching a lot of shows too, my favorite probably are The Sopranos, Boardwalk Empire, The Office, Parks and Rec, and Flight of the Conchords.

I recently watched DARK and it was mind blowing.

I love allkind of music! System of a Down and General Elektriks are my fav bands, but I listen to everything. I'm currently listening to a lot of indie French artists, like Her, Agar Agar, or Las Avec (N.E.M. !).

As for books, I love a lot of authors, like Pratchett, Robin Hobb, Asimov.. I'm also a Potterhead, obviously.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

One time I was drinking with a friend around Gambetta in Paris, and I was wondering what exactly was the "pas chassée" and the "jeté" from a pro danse point of view. We were drunk and we asked the first persons we saw, a group of friends.
AND GUESS WHAT one of them was a pro classical dancer I shit you not. Drunk me was blown away like never before. And then we proceed and I had an amazing dance class in the middle of the street, drunk.
I love that memory :)

Teach, Learn, Share

We can make crêpes, or maybe I can teach you some French I guess :)
Or maybe you can cook and then you just won my heart
