Overview
About Me
Hello people, my name is Florian and I am currently working and traveling in Australia. I hope to see as much as possible of the country and meet nice people to share stories with, go hiking, sightseeing or partying. I recently finished my Masters degree in Industrial Engineering, so I thought it would be a good time to start a journey to explore the world. I would describe myself as a peaceful and rational person and people tend to call me open minded, as i try to stay curious and unbiased.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
Couchsurfing is a great way to get in touch with the daily life of people that live in a country. My goal is to learn as much as possible and get a deep insight of other cultures than my own. Expanding my horizon is a very important aspect to me, as I try to experience as much of the world as possible. I feel the need to figure out how I want to exist in this world so I love meeting new people with eccentric lifestyles!
Interests
I started enjoying music in my early years already, and I quickly grew into Rock and Metal. Visiting many concerts was a big thing for me, so I then went on to visit festivals, like the Wacken Open Air in Germany. I enjoyed it so much that i try to visit a festival every year. Some time ago, I grew fond of electronic music, such as Techno and DnB. I bought an used DJ-Controller and like swinging the disks at events! I even brought my equipment to Australia, so maybe we can have a party? :D

Music, Movies, and Books
My favorite band is called Wintersun, as I think it is the most complex metal band I heard so far. The lead singer is a master in making musical compositions. Some movies i enjoy are Matrix 1 and Mulholland Drive by David Lynch, as I mostly like movies that are rewatchable, because you cant wrap your head around everything the first time watching. The most remarkable book I've read was "Thus spoke Zarathustra" by Friedrich Nietzsche, because the philosophical viewpoints of the author are showing parallels towards my own and the complexity of them amazed me as well.
