Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I have always stayed in hostels while travelling so far, and I wanted to try couch surfing. I think the best way to visit a city is by getting the tips of its inhabitants to truly feel the atmosphere of the place.

Couchsurfing sounds like a lot of fun and discovery. I'm curious and looking forward to meet new people - and their couches !

I do carpooling a lot, I think CS is in the same spirit.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Taking a 13 hours train to Xi'an in China without being able to find sleep, climbing Hua Shan mountain (2155m) the same day (approx 6 hours), sleeping at the top of it in a tent - it was freezing - to see the sunrise the next morning.
Or climbing Mount Batur (1717m) in the dark at 2am to see the sunrise.

Just in case you are wondering, i like sunrises. And sunsets too.
