I’m convinced the best thing about the world is its people so I’m on a quest to meet as many as possible. Currently, I’m channeling my inner adventurer, exploring Europe by bike. I’m one of those people who believes that cycling across continents is a great way to avoid the gym and get lost in picturesque places.

When I’m not busy proving that I can survive on two wheels (which is sometimes more difficult than expected), I’m immersed in board games. Don’t worry, I promise I’m not the kind of geek who debates the merits of dice rolls at parties—unless, of course, it’s an epic game night. I also organize my local debate club, so if you need someone to argue passionately about why pineapple does belong on pizza, I’m your person.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Besides the thrill of not knowing if I’m hosting a secret agent or just someone with a good travel story, I’m here because I believe life’s more fulfilling when it’s shared. I love hearing stories, cooking up a storm, and finally impressing someone other than myself with my culinary skills. If you’re up for great food, interesting conversation, and maybe uncovering the meaning of life. In generally I love quality time, be it over a cup of coffee or a nice cold beer.

When I’m not pretending to be a Tour de France contender on my bike, I’m probably plotting world domination. My love for board games goes quite far that several tables have been flipped, luckily not by me. Nevertheless I always bring a deck of cards if you we don't want to make it too tense.

Music, Movies, and Books

When it comes to music, I’m all about LoFi. It’s the perfect soundtrack for avoiding reality but honestly, anything with a beat works for me. I’m not picky enough to argue with a good rhythm. As for movies, I’m pretty flexible. Every genre has its own charm. I do have a soft spot for the weird and wonderful, though, so if you’re into movies like The Lobster, we’ll probably get along just fine. When not watching films you’ll likely find me reading, pondering life’s questions with the help of Camus and Kundera. Nothing like a little existential crisis to keep things interesting.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I ventured all the way to Baikonur, a remote spaceport in Kazakhstan, where the Soviet Union launched its first satellite. I stood in the middle of nowhere, freezing in minus 30 degrees, just to witness a rocket launch. Because, apparently, watching a giant metal tube defy gravity while I lost all feeling in my extremities seemed like a fun adventure. Not everyone can say they’ve been to the birthplace of space exploration while their toes were seriously reconsidering life choices.

Teach, Learn, Share

I create board games, so if you’re up for a night of competition and games you’ve never heard of, you’re in for a treat. My Indonesian cooking skills are pretty on point, if I do say so myself, and I’m more than happy to teach you how to whip up something delicious. I’m also quite fond of craft beer and I never shy away from a good conversation. So, whether you’re into playing games, enjoying great food, or just talking over a cold brew, I’ve got you covered.
