PHILOSOPHY

Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
Most of the time I am surfing other places. I hosted just one time in my flat because I dont have space at the moment. If this changes, I gonna tell you ;-)
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
Probably I dont need to tell this to another couchsurfer, but I think I met some of the nicest people through couchsurfing in other countries! Honestly, there is no couch till today that I regret to have surfed. I dont know how I had done through all my travels without couchsurfing. But one thing is clear, Alone I never would have seen a tenth of those amazing things that I have experienced with other couchsurfers. For me couchsurfing has become more or less a synonym for travelling.
Interests
Puh, what question. Much! But I try to find some examples:
cooking and especially eating ;-), I love to explore new recipes, spices and ingredients from all over the world. My newest discovery: celeriac is so underrated!
outdoor sports, definitely my preferred kind of sports! I am climbing until my fingers dont have skin anymore and hiking until the profile of my shoes become my feet... maybe not every day ;-) but I really like to hike and being in the nature is one thing that must never lack in my vacations.
Cities, on the contrary I also like other cities and the life there. Maybe thats an illness of one who is living in a million city like Berlin ...
Music, Movies, and Books
Music, probably one of the rare things, that just everybody of the world likes. Of course the favourites change from time to time, but at the moment I'm with the "m"'s ...
Morcheeba, Mozart and Medeski. But who will know about tomorrow?
The last Films I watched and really liked, were: 2001 - A Space Odyssey, Blue Velvet and Down By Law, but that's really a random collection, I have a wide range of favourites.
In terms of books, I have to say that 2013 was really a reading year for me, I found some of the nicest books that I ever had read, e.g.
Smilla’s Sense of Snow (wow, was there any sentence that wasn't incredible?),
The Map and the Territory from Houellebecq (so different, sometimes too depressive to go on reading, but also not possible to stop)
The Teachings of Don Juan: A Yaqui Way of Knowledge (Castaneda was a great mysterious coincidence of the last century)
The Art of Loving (Erich Fromm knew everthing already in the 60ies, why does society always forget the important?)
etc. ;-)
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Sleeping one night in the desert
Slagsmalsklubben live!
Climbing a dune
eating a guave from the tree (i know only the europeans know what could be amazing about that ...)
4700 m over n.n., yes that's amazing!
