ABOUT ME
I'm a 29 year old traveler from the NE corner of Florida, USA. Over the last 3 years, I have traveled around the world, lived in multiple continents, finished 2 MBA's in 2 languages, and met some of the most interesting and kind people the world has to offer. I feel lucky to have had such great experiences and hope to continue the ride....
PHILOSOPHY
"Don't tell me what a man knows. Don't tell me what a man says. Tell me where he has traveled...."
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I once sacrificed my NY Eve to help a stranded Couchsurfer. His car (which ran on vegetable oil) broke down right outside of town. I drove over to give him a jump and make sure he made it to the Mofro show. It was good karma and I've definitely had it returned to me in spades!!! I also help out by spreading the word!!!!
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I'm recently returning to the couchsurfing community after a brief stint in the corporate world. I first found the sight before my first trip to Spain in 2007 for a 7 month study abroad and I'm so glad I did. It added so much to my trip! I became friends with a native Spaniard, with whom I had a language exchange and, who I still keep in touch with. In Germany, I was given a tour of the city by a lovely local who also brought me a bottle of wine....danke schön!!
Even more recently, I surfed with Ruben in BKK and met quite a few cool CS'ers on my way around Southeast Asia. The Bangkok CS scene is strong and the have some great people involved there. Just goes to show that you are never traveling alone when you are a part of the CS community!!!

Music, Movies, and Books
this could go on forever. music is my therapy. i always have my music playing and it goes from elvis to eek-a-mouse and everything in the middle. However, not too much country, metal, or techno. Reggae is always good, hip hop, punk, blues, classic rock. It's been switching up alot lately, most recently it's been alot of indie stuff and some downtempo lounge music. Love to hear and share new music....just ask.
Movies: City of God, Snatch, almost anything Tarantino, The Big Lebowski, Amores Perros, and The Usual Suspects to name a few. I also like alot of foreign films. Books- I like non fiction and anything entrepreneurial/business related....I'm reading photography books and books on social dynamics right now. Authors I like include Jon Krakauer, Neil Strauss, and Hunter Thompson.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I have volunteered, I have saved a life. I have traveled and lived abroad, I've met people from all over the world and I've learned that even language barriers can be insignificant when good humans come together. Wishing I could figure out why so many people focus on our slight differences rather than our striking similarities.
One amazing thing I've seen? Michaelangelo's "David"
