Lets start with my name and origine. I am Florijan De Clercq. Florian is quite a common name in Belgium, except that my parents added an extra 'j' in it. I guess they wanted to do someting 'special'.

I'm born in Ronse (renaix) a little town in Belgium, among the cows, spend my highschool experience in the arts academy in Bruges, studied industrial product design in Kortrijk and I did my welding courses in Antwerp. After working for two years I decided to leave Belgium for what it is for now and applied for a working holiday visa.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

The reason why I try couch surfing is because hotel visits feel so passive to me, whilst I would like to meet people. In reality each hotelroom looks different but for me it kinda feels like they're all the same. So this is kinda the next step.
I have the feeling that if you meet people in their home environment, the chance is more likely that you bond.
