About Me

Hey,

so my name is Florin, at the moment I live in the beautiful city of Bonn (which used to be the capital of Germany) and I'm studying German-Italian Studies at the local university. Given that it is an international programme I'll be in Florence in one year though, which I'm really looking forward to :)
In my freetime I like going to concerts or also festivals, I also play the guitar a little bit, I like acting (and writing/directing plays), I also try to stay informed and up-to-date about what happens locally but also globally (at least as far as you can go given how much happens on a daily basis in all of the world). I might be a bit timid at the beginning, but that'll wear off in no time - I'm looking forward to getting to meet you! :D

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

During my last longer voyage I travelled with a good friend of mine. He knew a lot of people in the area we went to, so we stayed with them. It was then that I noticed that I really like getting in touch with locals and other people through the common love for travelling. So that's what I'm looking forward to here: Meeting new, local people and possibly hosting some at my own place!

Music, Movies, and Books

That's quite hard to describe/to decide on...
As far as music goes you can check out my "songs you missed out on in 2017" playlist: https://open.spotify.com/user/spotify/playlist/37i9dQZF1EahmJlwhomXAr?si=hyvt2b-vS5SwdbYvMAzcBw

The last Italian book that stuck with me was "io e te" by Niccolò Ammaniti, the last German book I read was "Frühlings Erwachen" by Frank Wedekind, a classical play about children, puberty and your first sexual encounters and growing up in general - finding your place.

Teach, Learn, Share

I might be able to teach you one or two chords, but let me know because I have terrible memory so I might have to bring some of my sheet music :p
I'd love to improve on the languages I'm currently learning, and practise some English to keep me more or less fluent won't hurt either :)
I love cooking together and sharing a meal, it's so much more fun to eat when having company!
