ABOUT ME

Easy going guy who enjoys meeting interesting people from all over the world and from different cultures. I like to share knowledge, ideas, a positive mood and other stuff with other positive and curious persons. I am in IT-business (formerly computer networking but currently more software testing/development) for a living (and because I am kind of fascinated by technology in general, I think the right use of technology can and should enable us to spend even more time on the things we really care about). The things I do to really enjoy life are: going into nature, spending time with friends and with other interesting and kind people, travelling, exercising (running, swimming, cycling), listening to music, going on adventures, cooking and tasting any kind of (vegetarian or vegan) meals and simply trying to collect many interesting experiences.

PHILOSOPHY
Surround yourself with positive people and share. Try to contribute to society and don’t harm others. Don't be trapped by dogma. And about politics in general: education is better than restriction!!

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I am not really an active surfer (yet). Thus far I only surfed once and I think it was a great experience. After that trip I started hosting myself. If I have some free time I am happy to show you around Amsterdam or to simply join you on a walk or bicycle tour.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Several years ago I couchsurfed for the first time (together with my brother) and I had a great time. Our hosts were optimistic and interesting persons and showed us what a fun and lively city Montreal is. Since then I hosted several surfers myself.

Interessen

Nature, politics, music, travelling, science, programming and a lot more. I especially like to discuss and learn about other people’s views on politics and society, to hear about other cultures, to go outside and make nice tours or organise a picnic or some other activity, to go outside and learn about plants, trees, birds and other animals, to go dancing in the evening, to learn about interesting music, to spend time with friends and to simply share ideas and thoughts.

Lehren, lernen, teilen

I simply like to make fun together, join people on tours or guide them through Amsterdam. Visit the Amsterdam parks for a picnic, a game of soccer, some slacklining or other fun stuff. Or we can make a bicycle tour through the surroundings. We can cook together and possibly teach each other about new recipes. I can show you typical “Dutch” foods and maybe you can introduce me to recipes from other countries. In general I like to discuss and learn about other peoples views and opinions on all kind of aspects of life. And if you are really interested, I can tell you a bit about how computer networking works :)
