About Me

**(In regards to my references page, my name has since been changed, I promise I’m the same person)**

I’m spontaneous, adventurous and the proud papa of 2 kitties.

I work in film and TV as a camera tech and freelance camera assistant. I'm also a big climber and passionate about all things climbing and mountaineering. Currently, I'm trying to work more on my adventure photography, and take my work outdoors. If you’re into art, photography or the outdoors then I’d love to hang out and chat :)

I’m vegetarian and I’ll admit a damn fine cook if I try. I would love to cook for you and I promise my veggie food is loved among all meat eaters. But if you know any good recipes, please teach me how to cook them and help me become a master chef 🙏🏼

I love a deep conversation with a stranger and I’m always in the mood to make new friends

Ultimately, show me cats, art, or an opportunity for an adventure and my day will be made :))

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

The best moment with someone is when they go from stranger to friend. I’m always up for an adventure with someone new whether across mountains or to the pizza shop. I don't see why people feel the need to know someone in and out before spending a long time with them or doing something big - I've found that the friendship gained along the way is what makes the experience worthwhile.

When travelling, I like to get to know places through a local’s eyes because most tourist stuff melts my brain, but mostly I want to meet new people to hang out with, who can share experiences, passions or just have a laugh

Interests

Hiking/mountaineering, open water swimming, bouldering/climbing - any outdoors adventure really. Also like going to the theatre and watching films (love a good horror film but will accept a romcom). Always up for a campfire and a sing song with some beers and good banter, it’s the simple things.

Music, Movies, and Books

Honestly, most genres. Anything from screamo to R&B. If you wanna get a sense of my music taste, feel free to have a look at some of my favourite songs:

I love films so I’m likely to say yes to most. But here are some of my favs:
The wailing
Into the wild
Where the wild things are
Call me by your name
Juno
School of Rock
Chronicle
Palm Springs
The Before Trilogy
Sunshine
What we do in the shadows
Mr beans holiday (pure Art 👌🏼)

My favourite book by far is A Clockwork Orange, but if you’re into short stories I recommend reading Raymond Carver’s collection What We Talk About When We Talk About Love. It is a masterpiece 😙👌🏼
