One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Chartres Cathedral in France...the light was awesome. Ditto Notre Dame.

Driving across the country with my son one summer. We went from NY to Washington State and back. At the end of the trip when we arrived in Maryland, we spent the weekend at the shore...there were glow tides. We spent the night stomping our feet on the sand and watching the sparkles. It was amazing. The following summer when we went back to our camp in NY, I said, "This completes our circle." As we drove into the camp, there were two double rainbows in the sky.

Visiting the Grand Canyon with an old Army buddy (we both joined at 18)it was snowing and cloudy and January! Everyone was morose. We were there in time for sunrise. Needless to say, it wasn't happening. By about 2PM, everyone had given up and left. Suddenly the sky parted, the clouds cleared, the fog gave way, and we had the whole park to ourselves! We drove from lookout to lookout and saw the whole thing in record time. No crowds, no obstructions! It was pure magic. (All our times together have been imbued with magic!)
