Above all, I like connecting with people. Sharing minds, friendship, or even fleeting encounters are what I live for.

I've had a lot of different jobs and have had the opportunity to meet and befriend an amazingly colorful cast of characters that now populate my life. From doing makeup and body painting in NYC to finding the intersection between neuroscience and clinical treatment of mental health issues, I have always been a motivated science/creative type.

I always have a story to tell.

I'm hoping to meet new people in my travels. I'd also like to open up my home for travelers in the near future.

I'm really passionate about building extended community and meeting like minds. I think Couchsurfing is a perfect vehicle for this.

I'm most passionate right now about science communication. I've been working on illustrating my own presentations to make them more accessible.

Other than that, I'm a fan of the bizarre and ridiculous. I have worked hard at developing my own sense of style, and work hard at keeping a quirky look and personality that's still relatable.

Music is generally a mix of pop and EDM, but I don't always pay close attention. I generally find playlists and then save the music I like. Some artists I've been listening to recently: Portugal. The Man, Amy Winehouse, Oh Land, Radiohead, Crystal Castles, Andrew Bayer, Glass Animals, Lady Gaga, Miike Snow, Stromae, Hot Chip, Lana Del Rey, Zookeepers...

Oh and the Hamilton soundtrack!

Movies: I don't really watch much by way of film or tv, though I really did enjoy Stranger Things. Oh, and facebook says the last movie I "liked" was Weekend, which I think is queer cinema at its finest.

Books: I'm the worst! For all that I wish I read more intellectual non-fiction, I generally just read space opera sci-fi. My current favorite author is Peter F Hamilton.
