CURRENT MISSION
Get to know my brain a bit more...
ABOUT ME
So first about my name. My last name is Xu, pronounced Schü in German, or Chu in French. Sorry that the vowel doesn't exist in English and the best way to get it is to look for the sound when you try to say "eeeee~~~you", it is right in the middle :) First name is fairly easy, like Faye in English. So together is Xu Fei. Yes, last name first and both names are called together
(ref: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Chinese_names).
That is just the way to call a Chinese name. Strange, isn't it? What is even stranger is that most Chinese don't even bother telling you that!
Born in China, finished undergrad and graduate studies in Canada. Also lived in Germany and the US. Looking for truth, and curious about the nature of human beings. Interested in various sports (especially outdoors! rock climbing, Tai Chi if you count that, etc.) Interested in the different views of Oriental and Western traditional medicine. Big fan of Baroque music, especially amazed and fascinated by J.S. Bach. Life-time Celtic music player and set dance learner. Plays the Irish flute. Maybe the guitar and the banjo later on. Enjoy Tango music and soundtracks, and interested in the relationship between music and the human brain. Regular follower of TED.
