About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Traveling and writing about it on travel blogs www.almadeviajante.com and www.hotelandia.pt

ABOUT ME

I travel a lot, because I'm fortunate to do what i love: traveling is part of my work.

I don't need much to be happy and have a good time. I travel alone most of the times, but I love meeting new people everywhere I go. Most of the times good memories (and good stories) come from simple moments like sitting down on a street and talk to this old men, have a coffee somewhere and see what happens next...

I love cooking, and I like to try local food everytime I travel. I believe gastronomy is a big part of a culture.

Professionaly, I'm a bit of a travel writer, a photographer, tour leader and professional traveler. Communication is my world (and I guess the world is my home).

I did two round the world trips, in 2004/05 and 2012 :)

PHILOSOPHY

It's better to regret something you did than to regret something you didn't do.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Nothing to regret so far. Hosting people and surfing their couches has been a great experience so far.

Publishing a book.

Teach, Learn, Share

I love photography and can spend hours looking at travel photos and talk about travel experiences. For people dreaming of doing a round-the-world trip, I might be able help in the first stage of organizing one. I know the answers to many questions people often ask about a RTW trip, as i did one a few years ago (during 14 months). Best advice I have: GO!!!

Also, I love cooking and trying local food. I believe gastronomy is an important part of the traveling experience. Let's share.
