About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To see as much of Eastern Canada in the little space of time I have

ABOUT ME

I live in the Devonshire countryside famous for its Ambrosia custard, clotted cream, rolling hills and more. But, I'm currently in Canada to break away from the English way of life, see more, experience more and meet people from all over.

I LOVE laughing and have been told I have quite an infectious laugh. It's definitely good for the soul and I try to release those endorphins daily.

I'm an all rounder that likes to get along with everybody and listen to what they have to say. I am always up for trying something new and quite sadly, have a mental list of all the things I want to do in my lifetime which, through hearing other peoples individual adventures just keeps expanding!

On a slightly more serious note, I'm travelling to discover the world and hopefully also find out more about myself and what I really want to do. I went to Uni and really enjoyed learning but I'm still not clear on what career path to take and am not ready to settle just yet. So, for all of you that have had the same thoughts or have been in the same position, your wise and worldly advice is most welcome.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Other than staying with family and crashing at friends places I have only surfed a few times whilst I was travelling around Canada - Toronto, Quebec, Halifax and Prince Edward Island.
These have been great experiences, so I am keen to create more.

Interests

Canoeing/Kayaking, wildlife watching (including people), rambling in unfamiliar places, leisurly cycling, adrenalin inducing sports/activities, card games and games in general, stand up comedy, trying different foods (I love food... and cheese more specifically... stilton... yum), trying different cocktails, fancy dress... and plenty more...

Music, Movies, and Books

MOVIES: Comedies and horrors in general(love them!)e.g The Love Guru, Wedding Crashers, Meet the Parents (& Fockers). The Amytiville Horror, the SAW movies, all the Alien films. What Happens in Vegas, Transformers, Zombieland, The Ugly Truth.

MUSIC: Cold Play, The Script, Sam Sparro, the Noisettes, Daft Punk, Empire of the Sun, Kings of Leon, MGMT, Sneaky Sound System, SASH!, Freemasons, The Killers, Fleet Foxes, Chicane, Friendly Fires, Newton Faulkner, Hot Chip, La Roux, Iglu & Hartly, Justice - as you can see, it's quite a varied taste but mostly something with a good tune.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Watched lots of shooting stars whilst laying on a dock in the heart of Algonquin Park, Canada. (I was very excited to have witnessed something moving 'up there')

Observed Whales & Dolphins swimming in the wild. May sound ordinary but theres something magical about it.

Indoor sky diving. Sounds lame but it was sooo much fun and I have yet to try the real thing.

Teach, Learn, Share

LEARN: Everything! Because unlike others I don't feel I have found 'my skill' yet and have always been OK at things. So please teach me anything - how to knit, play an instrument (even if it's a recorder!), juggle, read tea leaves, tame a lion, - I will give it a go.
SHARE: Stories (funny, sad, just plain weird), regional English recipes, anything - sharing is good.
TEACH: What don't you know?... I'll see if I can help you out.

Countries I’ve Visited

France, Germany, Spain, Tunisia, Turkey

Countries I’ve Lived In

United Kingdom
