Overview
About Me
I travel on a student budget and look to have a good time. Looking to skip tourist traps, make fun acquaintances, hear new stories. Let's hang out!
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
To be able to learn from, share with and experience along with locals as I travel to and explore new places. Seeing the touristy-est places of a city along with a tour guide and other foreigners does not do justice to any place in my opinion, and whenever I had the opportunity to learn from locals I've had a blast. So basically I'm here to enhance my travel experience, and hopefully make some friends from all over the world in the process.

Music, Movies, and Books
Big into exploring underground house music, techno, and indie scenes wherever I travel. Musician (drummer/trash DJ but don't hold it against me), working for a college radio station, generally very into music. Saw Beach House, Sigur Ros, Crystal Castles, Iceage live. Very into cinema, favorite directors include Andrei Tarkovsky and Ingmar Bergman. I read as much as I can when I travel -- love Kafka, Borges, and Rimbaud/Mayakovsky are my favorite poets. Currently reading Pale Fire by Vladimir Nabokov.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Rode The Swing at the End of the World in Ecuador! It's this long swing that basically extends beyond a steep cliff down toward the jungle, and there's this crappy rusty chain holding you on your seat and nothing else. There's some breathtaking views and it's a massive adrenaline rush as soon as you look down.
Teach, Learn, Share
I'm a big language nerd -- I speak six to some extent and I'd love to learn more about your language and bore you to death with linguistics.
