About Me
CURRENT MISSION
To learn my favorite languages to the best of my capabilities! Discovering is traveling. Carpe Diem!
ABOUT ME
Hi, my name is Alphonso Estrada. I am a 24 year old student. I grew up between Ensenada, Baja California, Mexico and San Diego, California. Both my parents are from Ensenada, BC, Mexico but moved to San Diego at an early age to begin their new lives. I am the oldest son in my family. I am studying Linguistics and I also like to study languages. My goal is to become fluent in five different languages. I know three fluently thus far. I was able to teach portuguese to myself and now I can speak with anyone who knows without a problem =) Languages are my hobby.
PHILOSOPHY
Say no to racism!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I engage in a simple conversation with anyone that is willing. This allows strangers to meet and become more than just strangers :)
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
The summer of 2012 I was able to begin my couchsurfing experience in Europe. My plans were random and that opened the door to meeting great hosts and friends that I have made along my trips.
I have hosted and have had great experiences with everyone. I am more than happy to let someone stay out my flat.
Interests
I am very interested in education. School is my priority at the moment. Working is also important in order for me to earn money to do the things i enjoy doing the most.
My favorite things I enjoy doing are: soccer, going to the theatre, going out with friends to party, traveling and of course food (VERY important!!). I have a love for soccer because I believe this sport unites people from different cultures. This sport allows everyone to become closer to each other and become friends. Friendship is a very important sign of life. I am a big movie fan! I enjoy many kinds of movies from all parts of the world. Every once in a while we must go out with friends to party! This is the perfect time to relax, distress, and enjoy time with people who care about you. Traveling is important in my life. I believe it is not healthy to be stuck in a routine and so we must find a way to break that routine and discover. I must break my routines and explore how other cultures live. I must meet new people who share the same ideas and those who have different ideas as me so they can show me the world they live in.
And finally, food! Food is everyones favorite! I know Mexican dishes are the best!! ;) jaja. I have learned to try all kinds of foods but there are so many types of foods that I have never tried, therefore I would love to try your dish!!

The best experiences I have done were when I traveled! I have been in Spain and Costa Rica for high school programs. I learned so much and met wonderful people! I hope to feel this way many more times in many other countries.
Teach, Learn, Share
I would love to learn as many languages as I can. Being able to communicate in many languages is a goal I have set for myself. I have a love for knowledge and getting to know languages is a big part of it. I speak fluent Spanish and English. I can teach both. I am working on learning Italian fluently. Portuguese and German are others that I would like to speak fluently. However, I am open to learn a little bit of everything!
