About Me
CURRENT MISSION
We are currently travelling by bicycle from London through Europe and heading towards East Africa..Ultimate destination is Melbourne, Australia. Maybe we will reach it by bike, maybe not.
ABOUT ME
This page is for both of us; Jude and Astrid. We cycled from Melbourne to London (2013-2015). It was two years of amazing travel through our beautiful world. We swam in the sea, camped out under the stars, pedalled through deserts, up high mountain passes and met many wonderful people along the way. We then lived and worked in London and now after two and a half years we are once more hitting the road on our bikes. Our plan is to explore Europe for the summer of 2018 and slowly head towards Africa. We are both easy going, love to cook, share stories over a cup of tea or glass of wine. Although this page is for both of us, we don't always travel together.
PHILOSOPHY
Live life now. It's not a dress rehearsal. Value nature, be kind to the planet and all it's inhabitants.
Travel has taught us that it's the simple things that matter. A flat place to put our tent, dry fire wood, a tail wind, sunshine after days of rain, connection to people, a warm cup of tea..

Music, Movies, and Books
From Jude: I love reading; My mission at the moment is to read a lot of the classics while I am travelling. Some of my favourite books include; To Kill a Mocking Bird, A Farewell to Arms (I like Hemingway a lot), Shantaram, Wuthering Heights, The adventure Cycle Touring Handbook, The Bone People, Tomorrow When the War began (series) and really too many to name.
I like mainly foreign/not main stream films but some Hollywood is okay. Some of my favourites include; Goodbye Lenin! The Lives of Others, V for Vendetta, Juno. I love documentaries too.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Travelling for over two years by bicycle..
Teach, Learn, Share
We know a bit about bike travel now! And annoying visa processes in Central Asia. And how to be deported in style from Turkmenistan. Where to hide all your US dollars, how to build a fire out of yak poo, finding places to free camp throughout a lot of the world..
What I Can Share with Hosts
We can share stories from our adventures and from home. Both of us love to cook and can make something to share. We can help around the house. Also we are self sufficient and are happy just to potter around doing our own thing if you are busy!
