I like to think of myself as someone who's open to lots of things, when it comes to music. I was raised as the daughter of two classical musicians, but I'm more into modern stuff.
Anyway, some of my favourite bands are: Crystal Castles, CocoRosie, Patrick Wolf, Nine Inch Nails, The Knife, Final Fantasy, A Silver Mt. Zion, Sufjan Stevens, Joanna Newsom, The Veils, ...
And I can appreciate some jazz once in a while :)

My favourite movie of all times is Steve + Sky, but you guys probably won't know it, because it's a low-budget Belgian film. Other movies I like are Sin City, In Bruges, The Big Lebowski, Fargo, Inglorious Basterds, Vicky Cristina Barcelona, Match Point, Cassandra's Dream, Velvet Goldmine, Juno, Jeux d'Enfants, ...
I actually prefer series over movies.. Series like Six Feet Under, Lost, House, Hotel Babylon, Carnivàle.. But I'm not afraid to admit I love cheap stuff like Grey's Anatomy too ;-).

Waiting for Godot by Samuel Beckett is my all time-favourite book. Other books I love: House of Leaves (Mark Danielewski), Eating Animals & Extremely Loud and Incredibly Close (Jonathan Safran Foer), Disgrace (J.M. Coetzee), Het Schervengericht (AFTh Van der Heijden), ...
