I am at times a bit of a contradiction. I would say that overall I am an outgoing and mostly confident person that is good at breaking the ice with a few laughs but there are those times when I am unsure of myself and come across as standoffish. Like most I find it very difficult to write about myself but I would say that I'm a polite person who enjoys meeting new and interesting people. I am pragmatic and realistic and deal with things in my life very much in the same way. I don't think my overall positive outlook on things has changed very much throughout my life even through difficult times and personally I like about myself. To sum up I think guess the people that know me would say that he's a "good guy!"

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I'm here to meet new and interesting people. Over the last couple of years I have done my fair share of travelling and have done it in many different forms. I have travelled with tour companies and large groups of people that I didn't know.
I have travelled with friends. I have travelled with family and I have travelled solo through hotels and hostels. When talking about my solo travels he mentioned couch-surfing to which I have a really open-mind to the idea and I guess this could be another form of my travels around the World.

Music, Movies, and Books

It is difficult to narrow in on my favourite genre of music as I have so many and my playlists are an eclectic mix. I can tell you that I am not a country or heavy metal music fan. I would say my decades of music are the 50s, 60s, 70s and early 80s but then I sometimes think that I was born in the wrong time period as I also love classical music.

As for movies... I can say without a doubt that any film by Quentin Tarantino is a must in my collection and I am a big fan. However I like a range of films but I would say I am a bit of "nerd" in that I will always be into my Sci-Fi and Fantasy films. I am also a very big Netflix fan and TV shows are like my medicine.

I don't read as much as I would like to (too much Netflix) but my goal for this year is to complete twelve classics. I am currently reading Frankenstein which is book number 1. Long way to go but I'm really enjoying it!
