About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Rockin out enjoying Hungarian culture..........

ABOUT ME

I am easy going guy who likes to travel and meet new people (as I assume most people on here are as well). I love being in nature, I love listening to and playing music, I love animals and sunsets as well :) I am earthy and love to garden and can my yields (host me and you may get to taste my pickles :) I am currently in a state of transition, traveling at the moment and returning to Canada in Jan 2011 to look for somewhere to live (and host with any luck!!)

PHILOSOPHY

We're all people regardless of differences, some of us are nicer than others, we all have different ideals, we all have to share this earth. We should chill and share our space in the universe with everyone else on this rock. Love and understanding never really hurt anyone but you can't really say the same thing for hate and war, you get the picture.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I have now both hosted and travelled. I am constantly trying to find ways to particpate a little more in CS but at the moment I am living in a sort of transient state and am constantly readjusting my living situations so it is hard to connect with a particular community at any time.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I have couchsurfed both in my international and national travels. I also have hosted which I really enjoy. I do a fair bit of free-lance couchsurfing (ie. I end up on couches due to random encounters with awesome people.) I love couchsurfing and think it is brilliant.
I have been somewhat geographically unstable for a few years now which has greatly limited my ability to host however I am settled at least for a months now and have space and am looking forward to hosting this winter.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I was going to say lots and lots of things however as the question does ask for one thing specifically I'll bite :)
One of the most amazing things I have experienced was coming through a patch of thick spruce trees onto a high plateau of a hill, after a gruelling hike along the northwestern shore of Cape Breton, and seeing a large valley between the hills with a river split into multiple forks all leading back to the original source before heading into the ocean. I cannot do this little valley justice in description but myself and my two other travel companions at the time, as well as two british girls we had met at Cape Bretons only hostel (which if you are in eastern Canada is a MUST! in my books) camped for close to a week, we had planned to go for two nights but it was too nice. So thats the first thing that comes to my head for this question :)

Teach, Learn, Share

- I can offer guitar and hand drum lessons. I have multiple guitars and multiple drums for teaching/jamming purposes so feel free to bring your instrument or use mine.
- Depending on the season I can teach home preserving techniques even out of season I can whip up a batch of pickled eggs in no time flat and am always willing to share these skills with others
- I would like to think I am a knowledgeable individual. I am more than willing to share any of the information in my head with you, just ask! I was a history student so thats a good starting place I guess.
- I love to snowshoe and wander in the forest, and am always more than happy to take people out and teach them to snowshoe and some basic forest navigation skills.
