Overview
About Me
CURRENT MISSION
Eat more vegetables!
ABOUT ME
I go outside a lot - hiking, climbing, skiing, camping, and sometimes running. I love music of many genres, and occasionally practice stringed instruments. Right now, I work in the summers as a wildland firefighter. This gives me time in the winter (the "off-season") to play outside and travel.
Otherwise, I like to cook, read (Tom Robbins has been a recent favorite), write in my journal, drink good beer, and hang out!
PHILOSOPHY
Know the color of peoples' eyes. Pick up trash when you're out in nature if you can. Try to find common ground to connect with others, even if you're from different backgrounds.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I'm here to host and surf! I'm on the road right now, so can't host. But when I get housing again then I'll make myself available.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
Surfed: A few times.
Hosted: Several times.

Music, Movies, and Books
Music genres I can dig on:
Ska and reggae, blues, soul, funk, disco, acid rock, classical, jazz, old country.
Also Animal Collective because they don't have a genre really.
Books:
LOTR, Jack Kerouac, John Steinbeck, Haruki Murakami, Tom Robbins, etc.
Movies:
I don't watch many movies, but I've always liked The Big Lebowski, Spirited Away, and Disney's Robbin Hood.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Hitchhiking.
Teach, Learn, Share
I know how to bake rolls and have a great recipe if you're interested. I know how to poach an egg. I can also tie a few knots if you'd like to learn.
I would like to learn language and literary ideas.
What I Can Share with Hosts
DINNER & BEER!
...also a few tales from the road, forest, and friends.
