About Me
My Name is Forrest Remington Lins and I've grown up in Washington State. At the time of writing this I am 18 years old but soon to be 19. I love the outdoors and creating adventures for myself. I find a lot of value in building new relationships with people anywhere I go and I love hearing other peoples' life stories. I'm also a music lover who can get down to almost any type of music out there, with the exception of most American "country" music. I always look for learning opportunities about whomever I'm with or wherever I am but at the same time I try not to learn too much about most things before I experience them, you know, to keep things a little exciting. I want to travel the world to hopefully gain some sort of perspective on our species as a whole because I'm sick and tired of people complaining about things that they have yet to experience and I hope to be different. I love how incredibly complex and interesting every single human being on this planet is and I think that "Couchsurfing" is an amazing way to get a glimpse of some of that. I enjoy trying new things (usually) and I'm not afraid of a good time. I hope that the knowledge and experience I gain from traveling will help shape me into a human being who cares for and loves this life that we all share.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I'm couchsurfing because I want to truly experience my destination. What better way is there to do that than by staying with someone who lives there? I think that having opportunities to build relationships and even friendships with people across the world is invaluable.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I've been to the amazon. My dad was born and raised in Brazil and we went to stay 3 weeks in the city of Manaus, Brazil.
Teach, Learn, Share
My life motto is: "There is wisdom in everything, sometimes it's just hard to see." My dad told me that a few years back and it really stuck with me. I feel that if we all took each and every situation as a learning opportunity, we would all be the better for it.
What I Can Share with Hosts
I can share myself. I have stories, experiences, jokes, anything. I love it when others open up to me to show me who they are and I try to do the same. I'll also help take care of myself and the place I'm staying. I think that a mutual respect is extremely important.
