I am a 28 year old English teacher who greatly enjoys photography and videography, as well. I've worked as a film and television editor for 4 years. That work took me from Boynton, Florida, all the way to Los Angeles, California! My teaching position in my newest joy. I recently taught under a teacher in West Palm Beach, Florida, at a high needs school. Then, I moved to Korea and taught there for a year. It was wonderful. I followed that up with some volunteer teaching in Exeter, England. It's nice and interesting to see how all of the various school systems operate.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I greatly enjoy making new friends and I really want to learn more of other cultures and languages. I like to have fun. I'm warm and friendly. I really appreciate good hospitality and I try to return the favor.

Also, I am on Couchsurfing, because honestly I need a place to stay. I'm on a limited budget and I do not want to fork out 22-40 euros every night for a place to stay. I simply won't be able to afford any of the cool things in life - like food - if I go this entire vacation paying for places to stay.

Interests

Teaching, photography, videography, learning new languages, experiencing new cultures, swimming and watching Game of Thrones. I also greatly relish fine foods. That's pretty much my life!

My favorite music, movies and books include: Robert Jordan's The Wheel of Time (fantasy novels), The Rolling Stones and Game of Thrones. I've also enjoyed What Dreams May Come, Once Upon a Time in the West and Wuthering Heights.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I've lived in Korea for a year. That was a life changing experience. It encouraged independence in me and yet developed trust and communication skills, as well.
It was some of the most fun I've ever had in my life. I greatly enjoyed being a teacher over there. I am still dating my girlfriend whom I met there my second night in the country!

Teach, Learn, Share

I teach English, photography and videography. I've tutored in science and math. I have a great passion for food and culture, as well. I try to share that passion when possible.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I can share warm smiles, big high fives and English lessons. I like to cook. I enjoy photography and would be happy to take some photos for you. I'm also creative and flexible, so if a host has any potential ideas, then I could be open to them, as well.
