About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To learn as much about history as possible. To see new and exciting places that stimulate the imagination.

ABOUT ME

I am always curious, always wanting to learn more. I love to travel and have a passion for all aspects of Eastern European History. I consider myself laid back, outgoing and friendly. I want to especially see off the beaten path places. Some of my best days have been striking out from the hostel in the morning in eastern Europe. It is a quite wonderful sense of adventure.

Interests

History and the great outdoors. I work as a Park Ranger on the Public Relations side of things. My passion is creating new ways for people to see the world around them and connecting with people through shared interests. I spend a lot of time reading and writing. My newest interest is the Austro-Hungarian Empire. I enjoy literature, especially the Frenchman Marcel Proust and now I've started reading some Hungarian authors. My degree is in International Relations and Political Science so I constantly keep up with current events and world affairs. I also love art and alternative/ambient music. As far as mainstream music goes I'm a huge U2 fan and have seen them a number of times.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

The east side of Glacier National Park in Montana. Nothing like it in the world. It is a dream that nature has made reality.
Visiting Lviv in the Ukraine. I can still remember walking through Rynok Square, to castle Hill and along Svobody Prosepkt. I can hardly believe I was able to visit there.
First time I came to Hungary was very special. I remember walking into the old town square in the city of Pecs. It is the very definition of grandeur!!!!
Seeing U2 walk out into the Stade De France in Paris and being right beside the stage. it was worth the ten hour wait:)
