About Me

CURRENT MISSION

totally loving being settled in one place after years of travel and adventure

ABOUT ME

I have spent the past ten years on the move - both in New Zealand and overseas and loved travelling, but am now loving being home and having a base. My background is in youth development and I started a business a few years ago so am working on that, while living on the farm my partner is working on.

PHILOSOPHY

life is all about what you make it, and about just being in the now... I try to do that the best I can

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Finally as a host! I spent years travelling and surfing and now it's exciting to be returning the favour.
My partner and I live on a farm so it's great to be able to share.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I had my first couch surfing experience in Sweden and have been fortunate enough to have lots of wonderful experiences since then - what an amazing way to see a country and learn... re-connecting into the world of couch surfing reminds me that there are people to meet all over the world.

Interests

the outdoors world - both as a means of education and fun. I'll give anything a go. I love meeting people, music, coffee, people watching anywhere. I'd much rather meet the locals in a new place rather than ticking off museams and art galleries.
meditation.. i have just completed a 10 day vipassna course - one of the most challenging things I have ever done but great.... now perhaps the more challenging thing is to carry on meditating??
Current passion is setting myself up for a cycle touring adventure through parts of Spain, France and Italy... have done my first trial run in the UK and loved it.. what a way to travel!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

having the opportunity to work where I do... with awesome young people in the outdoor world. I've met some inspiring people.
Recently - solo cycle touring... I didn't know if I was capable of putting it all together but I did it and loved it...its all about putting your mind to something eh?
