I'll keep it short and sweet: I was born and raised in Southern California, and recently graduated from UC Santa Barbara.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I decided that now is a better time than ever to travel to Europe for the first time, and thought it would be a growing experience to do it alone. Europe is already expensive, and traveling solo makes it even more so with no one to split the costs. Couchsurfing, from what I heard from my friends, is an awesome way to save money while at the same time meet people and gain insight into the culture of the region. I think resort hotels and overpriced tourist attractions hide the true beauty of traveling.

Interests

I love learning, school has never been a chore for me. I plan on continuing my education after the wanderlust fades away a bit! I embrace new experiences, so travel has quickly invaded my life in a good way. I enjoy a good beer with good people and good conversation. I like staying active and enjoy anything from running to racquetball, football, frisbee, soccer, etc. as well as snowboarding (pretty good) and surfing (pretty bad).

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I studied abroad in Costa Rica on a tropical ecology, conservation and sustainability program back in 2013 and got to backpack through the rainforest with my professors and other students for 10 weeks.
