About Me

I'm originally from Uruguay and living in New York since 2010. I worked at the United Nations as a Front End Web Developer for 6 years, and I'm in the process of finding a new job that I love and hacking my never ending education. I'm also a fitness enthusiast and a certified personal trainer. I love movies, books about atheism, Etta James, running half marathons and almost any type of food.

I live with my partner Mike, we met in 2011 and have been best friends since then! We got married in 2015 :)

"The very basic core of a man's living spirit is his passion for adventure. The joy of life comes from our encounters with new experiences, and hence there is no greater joy than to have an endlessly changing horizon, for each day to have a new and different sun."

Christopher Johnson McCandless / February 12, 1968 - August 18, 1992

"Rather than love, than money, than faith, than fame, than fairness... give me truth."

— Chris McCandless expanded on the original quote by Henry David Thoreau

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

In 2012 I wrote an open letter addressed to the head of one Uruguayans top universities, after the soon to be president of that institution made homophobic remarks to the press. The letter went viral and she had to resign. Here is an article Good Magazine wrote about the story: https://www.good.is/articles/how-the-four-leaf-clover-became-a-new-symbol-for-gay-rights
