Overview
About Me
I JUST GOT BACK TO AMSTERDAM AND I CAN HOST. HOWEVER I JUST MOVED IN SO NO BIG LUXURIES. THERE IS A COUCH :)
Traveling from Netherland westwards until I get back to NL again :) Hoping to meet people, learn and help.
Last 2 years I have been traveling Europe and Western Africa going from Morocco to Guinea Bissau, always working and volunteering along the way. InSouth America, through Guyana, Suriname, French Guyana, Brasil, Bolivia, Peru and Ecuador, Colombia and Panama I had the chance to continue work and learn from local populations. Now my path continues in the Pacific and soon across to South East Asia. In the projects and volunteer opportunities I have worked with kids, school, animals, constructions, boats - you name it. But still a lot to learn.
You can get an idea of my travels on @fotisan___

Music, Movies, and Books
Art House films, fiction and non fiction (bit of a sucker for french classic literature), and a lot of philosophy.
Films: Buff for Kubrick and Nouvelle Vague films - can talk for hours about films.
Books: big fan of Bulgakov, Flaubert, Guy de Maupassant, Michel Foucault, Hannah Arrendt
Music: depends; for party techno, for hikes maybe indie, at home mostly 50s, 60s or retro stuff. I make a special connection with people who let me in to their music tastes so go ahead 🤘
Anime: the oldie 80s stuff GTO, Golden Boy, Captain Harlock, Area 88, Legends of the Galactic Heroes and many more.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Did the Camino de Santiago, Sailed the Channel, Biscay, the Med, Atlantic and the Pacific. In Amsterdam I have been volunteering for a a years at independent cinema, can tell you a lot of stories about all of the above.
Teach, Learn, Share
I can teach English or any language I speak. Handy with constructions (ask me, I can fix anything in your house I would be more than happy) and love to cook.
What I Can Share with Hosts
I can help with any task around constructions, landscaping, permaculture, gardening, cooking, walking the dog, feed the cat and yeah I can fix your computer most likely, just ask.
