About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Meeting people throughout Central and South America

ABOUT ME

Whether I'm hiking up a volcano, sailing around the Baltic Sea in stormy weather, or getting up and talking in front of a crowd of people - I love challenges and adventures! I'm also crazy about salsa!

Mid 2008 I decided to take time off work to go travelling. Since then I've spent some time in Guatemala, learning Spanish and working as a volunteer, and touring around South America (Peru, Bolivia, Chile), New Zealand, Australia, India, South Korea, Greece, and Poland. I've been on the road for almost 18 months now and along the way I've seen many mountains, lakes, desserts, amazing waterfalls, temples, cities... yet my most memorable experiences were always simple ones shared with other travellers and locals.

I have 6 months left before I go back to work, and I'm looking forward to many more interesting experiences in Central and South America.

PHILOSOPHY

Something along the lines of:
"Do not go where the path may lead, go instead where there is no path, and leave a trail..."

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I want to use CS to get to know new people and to explore my surroundings with them.

I just joined recently so there isn't too much direct participation yet... I probably won't be able to offer a couch until I get back from travelling.

Currently in India!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I decided to come to Krakow for 5 months pretty much without knowing anybody there. The CS weekend in Krakow was my first CS event and since then, I've been meeting up with couchsurfers here and there in and around Krakow. And I've met some very interesting people, both tourists and locals. I'm hoping to expand my experience when travelling through Central and South America later this year.

Couches I have surfed 2009/2010:

Diomer in Medellin, Colombia (6 days)
Isabel in Manizales, Colombia (2 days)

Paola in Cali, Colombia (5 days)
Ximena in Cali, Colombia (3 days)
Arturo in Santiago, Chile (1 day)
