About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Explore professional opportunities in Yerevan, Armenia.

ABOUT ME

Working in the USA since 2016 and hoping to enjoy as much of Boston as possible. My current living situation (a room in a house) doesn't allow to host at the moment but will be happy to meet guests and Boston locals. I'm living in Watertown which is very close to Cambridge, Boston downtown and Waltham.

PHILOSOPHY

Make good stories, not bad.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I was looking for a place on this web-site to share some basic advice on visiting Yerevan, so I'll just do it here.

How not to get lost.
To have a better sense of direction remember the following places and streets.
Streets: Mashtots Ave(locals call it PROSPECT); Baghramyan Ave; Komitas Ave. Those are main transportation arteries.
Places(for orientation): Republic Sqr.(and where the Clock is); Yeritasardakan subway station; Cascade; Swan Lake.

How to stay connected.
You can get sim-card very cheaply with local number. I recommend Viva-Cell MTS(mts.am). As of 07.2014 it's only 500 drams.
For internet, in the city center there are some bus stops that are equipped with free Wi-Fi. Look for white Wi-Fi on orange background. There are also Internet cafes that are open around-the-clock if you don't carry Wi-Fi devices. Also 3G is pretty cheap here.

For feedback and suggestions please send me a message.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

just starting

Interests

I can describe three broad categories. I'm interested in:
1. what people eat (food)
2. how they take care of health related situations(no medical histories please)
3. how they organize housing

Music, Movies, and Books

Movies: I find anime genre and old sci-fi movies particularly interesting.
Music: 90's rule!
Books: mostly biographies of famous people. Maybe you can offer some of your famous countrymen? (in English please)
