I left school when I was 20 and since I never felt the need to go to uni, I started working abroad. I will always remember the look on my mum's face when I told her instead of getting some regular job in the hometown like all the other kids, I'm gonna be a sailor in Italy :) then a shop assistant in Ireland, packer in Amazon warehouse in Scotland, a waiter in a Michelin starred restaurant in England... I've done a lot since then.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

We often wish we could just take a shower on the travels, so offering free showers to others first seems like a good start.

Interests

I love travelling. A lot. If you ask me where I want to go, I will tell you my plans, show you maps, prepared budgets, phrasebooks... you won't be able to stop me for a while :)

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I'm quite proud of single-handedly driving my car all the way from Scottish highlands down to Czech republic. Amazing journey, almost 2000km, lots and lots to see on the way. Also picked up a friend at London, so it was even better.

EDIT 2018: Actually, just made 6000km journey Prague - Gibraltar and back in a car :)

I've done plenty in my life, so whether you're thinking about getting qualified as a skipper, selecting some proper outdoor gear, reduce your wardrobe to a minimalist lifestyle, learn how to handle firearms or start with archery, fix / clean up your computer, or maybe just talk about travels and help with planning, I'm happy to help.
