Une aventure extraordinaire que j'ai vécue

One moment was traveling to Ghana and meeting many, many people that are considered under the poverty level, and are very warm and generous, yet at the same time will forget all mannerisms when you bring out pens to give the local people. Chaos ensues because they don't have them and cannot afford them and so they push and shove for their own pen. Makes you appreciate what you have. Who knew the pens I lose on a regular basis are so precious in other parts of the world.

Traveling to China and hitchhiking to a karaoke bar with my buddies. A Chinese couple picked us up, and even came in with us to sing karaoke. Turns out one was a famous Korean singer, Kim Hee Sun, who did a performance with Jackie Chan. They also bought us cake for our friend's birthday that night. They hardly spoke English, and we hardly spoke Chinese, but we had a ball of a time.

Being in Istanbul with my buddies, sitting on a wall at the Galata Tower at 4 in the morning, sipping on beers and having a good time people watching. We watched the sunrise on that wall. Never been in a city that made me think I could actually move there to live. That was a year ago. Now I live here :).
