About Me
CURRENT MISSION
Should live life like one should.
ABOUT ME
I'm a story hunter from São Paulo, probably the largest unkown city in the world. If you're interested in cultures different from yours, I'm sure this will strike you!
By 'story hunter' I mean that I live without a fixed agenda so things worth talking about may happen. What it means is that I'm an author. I've published a book, shot a couple of movies and wrote a couple of plays... And in all of them life was the raw material.
I also teach storytelling at Brazilian top Universities. Sometimes I work as a consultant for advertising agencies. As you see, stories are my life. And stories come from personal experiences. Therefore, I travel.
PHILOSOPHY
I'm really unsure about most of things... And the only thing I'm certain of I can only speak in person. Life's just like that.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
If people don't mind sharing a room, I can surely host. Otherwise I always enjoy having a drink and teach people how to love São Paulo.
While traveling I'll hunt stories down. And I'm quite sure couchsurfing is the best way to do it.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
Until now I have never had a real couchsurf experience. But I´m hoping this changes completely by the end of October.
If it really works well, I'll be able to develop a year-long project in order promote the community all over Latin America.
Interests
TV series, literature, cinema, theatre, operas and all kinds of stories.
Music, singing and dancing... One day I'll learn to play some instrument.
Sightseeing. May day isn't complete without a 2-hour walking or trekking.
Photography. I have a Flickr: http://www.flickr.com/photos/palacios/sets/72157622825880801/
Sports. I play canoe-polo and chess. And I always get enthusiastic discussing about football.
At last, communications: how people manage to exchange signal and also in advertising/marketing style since I'm a former copywriter.

Teach, Learn, Share
TEACH
- How to hunt stories. There are some techniques in order to do the things that will be worth talking about later.
- How to fix a caipirinha (and some other drinks).
- How to cook Brazilian dishes. Feijoada and churrasco gaúcho.
- Massage. I can make it and I can teach it.
- Creative writing. Maybe it's not the point here, but I guess it can help to enrich travelling.
- The 30-hour day. Yeah, for most of people, it's possible to gain 6 hours everyday.
SHARE
- Culture. Stories from our lands. Talk about people that are characters.
- Exchange opinions about Human Nature.
- Hugs and smiles.
LEARN
- Life lessons.
