关于我
Super summary: I love to have conversations, travel the world and learn new things! I'm a really curious person. Currently studying an MSc in London.
Summary:
I studied Engineering. That's the easy choice in Chile. No one would ever say it's a bad idea, so I went for it. I really liked the subject and still do. I think it was a great decision. However, when I was 3 years in (of a 6-year degree) I was feeling very bad. Very stressed and tired. All I wanted to do was leave. That was when a friend of mine told me about a scholarship to study abroad. It changed my life.
From then on, I've traveled all around. I started going to Vancouver for four months thanks to the scholarhip. I also went to San Francisco and Seattle that one time. After the classes finished, I took a train all across Canada. Took me three days (not including stopovers). It was a beautiful, very calm, and absolutely recommended trip.
One year later, I had to do my internship, and (again) a friend told me about an opportunity in India. I had always wanted to go there, but it was too expensive from Chile. Fortunately, the internship paid everything, so I applied. Finally, four friends and I went to that internship and worked in Bangalore (at Infosys) for 2 months. And we travelled aaaaaaall around. We went to Thailand, Cambodia, and several cities in India. We even went to the city where the Dalai Lama lives! =)
After that, I couldn't stop, so I spent two months travelling in Europe during my vacations. One month with my family and one month alone. It was a very special trip to me. Then, I got another scholarship and went to the US for 1 month. Again, I had classes and then did a roadtrip with friends.
After ending Engineering, I worked for four years. My mind was so different after meeting so much people abroad that I rejected every normal job and I worked in startups for more than two years. After that, I started working at my university, leading projects and doing research.
Now, I'm doing a Master's degree in Experimental Psychology, specifically Cognitive Science. I know, it's quite a change from Engineering, but I love it. Furthermore, I think that that interdisciplinary work has been of great use, as Cognitive Science is a mixture of several different topics.
So well, that's me in a nutshell. An engineer who loves and studies the mind.
=)

I have friend all around the world, who have helped me several times with places to stay. I think that now it's my moment to give back, given that there is a spare room in the house where I live. It's not fancy at all, but it does the job.
If you're wondering, I live close to Archway Station (check the map). Also, I can only receive surfers for two nights.

音乐、电影和书籍
This is a hard one.
Music: I'm currently listening to Swedish modern rock. Go "Major Parkinson"!!
Movies: I love "Midnight in Paris". I like Woody Allen a lot but I have seen only a few of his movies. I'm really more of a books guy, haha.
Books: I love Isaac Asimov's books. Apart from that, I like historical novels and books that talk about political history. I also love Murakami!!
我做过的一件不可思议的事情

Many stories, but mostly thougtfulness. I really like to think and have conversations. I'm also very curious, so it's easy for me to have long conversations. Maybe that's why I love meeting new people actually...
