Overview
About Me
After 3 years traveling, I've touched down in Berkeley. I was lucky to find a great job with awesome folks so I'm traveling on vacation days now. I like to see special natural spots and learn about the history of the area.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE
I started hosting in 2010. I used to go to CS potlucks in Berkeley or Tuesday night Happy Hours in San Diego.
EXPERIENCE
I've hosted many couch surfers from Germany, France, Canada and around the US. It's always a great way to meet great new people and do fun things in my area.
Interests
I'm very interested to hear about people's passions. I'm especially interested in sustainable living, nature and justice. I've also been trying to cook more but it's mostly smoothies at this point.

Music, Movies, and Books
MUISC
Silversun Pickups, Tycho, RAC, Random Rab, Tool, Capital Cities, Modest Mouse
MOVIES
Big Fish, Grease, anything but something scary
BOOKS
I love nonfiction by women. I don't read books much when not traveling. I read Scar Tissue in the jungle, but the last 30 pages were eaten by termites.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
At Angkor Wat, I ate lunch with the monks that grew and prepared the food.
Teach, Learn, Share
When hosting, make sure guests are aware of any funky house tricks needed to do their daily stuff (e.g. jiggle this knob to open this, etc.) and anything unique to your community (e.g. we recycle this way).
What I Can Share with Hosts
I like to have stocked fridge, swap stories and play cards or other games. We can go a-wanderin' or just say hello at the end of the day.
Countries I’ve Visited
Cambodia, Canada, China, Costa Rica, France, Mexico, Nicaragua, Thailand, United States
Countries I’ve Lived In
United States
