I think that couchsurfing is about sharing, that's why I will share my house with you and if we go out for dinner or we agree to buy anything at the grocery together we will share the cost. I am a shy calm person. I usually live in Milan (where unfortunately I can't host) but I stay for long periods in Zoagli. Many of you guys make me a present when I host you, you really should not take anything but if you really want to make a present you can take a book you already read in your own language even if I will not understand it or a magnet for the fridge from your own country
