About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Waiting for spring!

ABOUT ME

I am student in Dresden and live in an student living community with 24 other people in a big house. I really love this place, but the best thing for me is travelling. I love meeting a lot of people from different countries and try to learn something of their cultures. The best way to do it is in big cities with nice atmospheres and many many people from all around the world. I am convinced by relaxed lifestyle. I dont give too much about money and material things, but no fear, my flat is not a junkyard ;)I love getting out into nature without any technology and really get away from it all. I have been a boy scout for a long time now, so i love nature since i have been really young.

PHILOSOPHY

My philosophie is that you should try to live in harmony with the people around you. I think the most important thing is not to harm anyone around you, then you can do whatever you like... I am not religious, but i think buddhism is a good way of living. I had a lot of philosophy in school, where i had a few different views of ways of living. So i could pick out some ideas and try to stick to them.

My house is an open space for everyone, we want all people to feel comfortable. That means we do not accept any discriminating behaviour like racism, sexism, homophobia and so on.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I have been hosting a lot of people since i came first in contact with the CS community in Paris. I loved the idea of sharing my place with other travellers from the first time I heard about it. At first, i was only offering my couch. In 2011 i surfed a couch for the first time. Couchsurfing offers a way better view of different cities and is a very unique way to have an intercultural exchange. I always like talking to people from very differnt places in the world and their lifestyle. Besides, during hosting people, i always feel a bit like going on vacation, so it is the cheapest holiday i can imagine ;)

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I hosted a lot of (stopped counting) couchsurfers since 2009. I liked it a lot and i cannot say that any experience was a waste of time. I am always trying to spend time with my guests - there is nothing better than a personal atmosphere in which guests feel like home when they travel!I do not have a lot of surfing experience, because i usually travel with my camping van / tent most of the times and so i dont need a couch, but my first time at another CSlers home in 2011 was an awesome experience!

Music, Movies, and Books

LotR, American Beauty, L'auberge espagnol, Donnie Darko, German Comedy Movies like Lammbock, Action Movies, Thrillers, Road Movies and many more (I love movies).
I love TV shows as well: House MD, Breaking Bad, Scrubs, HIMYM and many others...
I listen to a lot Jamaican Reggae Music, i often go to reggaeparties and festivals. But the spectrum of music i like is wide, from guitar rock to old school hip hop, from breakbeat to heavy metal, soundtracks and different styles of electronic music and so on... Anyway, i am open to all kinds of music! Just show me what you like!
I have to admit that i am not a great reader of books, but i like some bestsellers like LotR, Harry Potter... The most interesting and disturbing book i ever read is Into Thin Air... another favourite is Mr. Nice

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

The best thing for me was travelling around in canada and jamaica after my abitur for two months. Together with my best friend i could make unbelieveable experiences!
Also awesome: British Columbia in 2011.

Teach, Learn, Share

The best way of learning useful things about life is just to get out to nature without technologies and just let your thoughs flow. I can teach you how to live in nature. I am also quite good at repairing stuff. As well i can show you a lot of awesome reggae music!
