Overview
About Me
I like to cook, try, and learn about new foods and cultures. I enjoy the challenge of learning a new language as well as communicating with people with much different experiences than my own. My father is Costa Rican and my mother is American, so I grew up surrounded by both cultures in my home. I like playing and watching football (soccer) as well. I also like to hike and walk through cities and learn about their histories.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I find I learn a lot more about places I visit if I stay and interact with locals. You get a much different perspective as well as much better recommendations.

Music, Movies, and Books
I've always loved funk and jazz music but listen to all kinds. As for movies, I like a lot of classics (Antonioni, Hitchcock, Kurosawa, Wenders), certain horror films, thrillers, and comedies. I don't like predictable movies. As for books my recent favorite is Name of the Wind by Patrick Rothfuss--a beautiful book that everyone should read!
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I swam with a whale shark in the Golfo Dulce, Costa Rica.
